As an inveterate traveler, there’s nothing I love more than packing my bags and embarking on a new adventure. I recently had the good fortune to discover La Serena, a hidden gem in the north of Chile, and I want to share with you my experiences of staying in this charming place.

From the moment I entered the inn, I felt as if I had returned home after a long journey. The staff was friendly and attentive, always willing to help. What about the room? Simply stunning. I cannot fail to mention the rustic wood, the comfortable beds and the panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. Can you imagine? Waking up every morning to the sound of ocean waves and birdsong.

And let’s not talk about the food. As a food lover, I was delighted with the local flavors. Fresh seafood and Chilean barbecue are simply a must. And breakfast, served on the sunny patio, was always the perfect start to each day.

Hip. Very elegant. Cozy rooms. The oceanfront Hotel Club La Serena, with a large garden, offers ocean views and a swimming pool surrounded by greenery. A continental breakfast with fruit and pastries is served. Rooms at La Serena feature hardwood floors and contemporary decor. All have 32-inch plasma cable TV and free Wi-Fi, while some rooms offer sea views and a private balcony. La Brisa restaurant serves fresh meat and seafood specialties, and the beach bar offers exotic cocktails and a happy hour to enjoy on the beach. Hotel La Serena offers free parking.
5. Francisco De Aguirre Hotel
This hotel offers non-smoking rooms with free WiFi and a continental breakfast with regional specialties. It is located in the center of La Serena, less than 250 meters from the Plaza de Armas. 7. Hotel Campanario Del Mar

This 5-star hotel features a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The hotel overlooks the garden and has a children’s playground. The accommodations feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels, refrigerator, kettle, shower and closet. All rooms have a microwave. Canto del Agua is 2 km from the hotel, while Peñuelas Beach is 2.9 km away. The nearest airport is La Florida airport, 8 km from Cabañas Villa Los Platanos.
